Me

the blurb

So this is the bit I find difficult, I have never been a linguist, hated reading as a child. I had a bumper book with the most popular Disney stories filling in between the beautiful animations. I never once read it and still to this day have no idea what was going on in ‘Babes in the Woods’.

I think what I am trying to say is I have always been about the visuals or the ‘doing’. So as an adult that now largely means gardening, making sourdough bread, cold water swimming, walking, appreciating the great outdoors, and, of course, painting.

I have an absolute admiration for Hyperrealism, but have never had the skill, or desire to achieve this myself. I prefer to absorb in my experiences and surroundings, then allow whatever wants to come out to do so.

I am currently bouncing between abstracts, florals and yachts, colourful and then dark, then colourful. All painted in acrylic and mixed media.

Hopefully some of you will enjoy looking at them as much as I enjoy painting them.

Please feel free to get in touch if you have anything you would like to ask me about my work, I would love to hear from you.

Lynn
