new abstract

Once I had completed my outstanding commissions during lockdown, I was left with a literal and virtual ‘blank canvas’. I could paint whatever my heart desired (and my skill set permitted!)

I decided on an abstract of my daily weekday walk, usually the same loop. It takes in pavements, roads, houses, beach and park. I love this walk, relishing the routine and familiarity of Cowes and the people and dogs I meet on the way, as does my dog Nipper.

Coincidently the lady who bought it lives directly opposite our last play stop before we head home. I didn’t explain the Cowes connection until after she had bought it, when her young son spotted the reference somehow!
